Battery Use and Information
The RatZapper battery compartment is located on the top of the unit. Pull the securing tap back and lift the battery compartment door. Properly install 4 “AA” batteries in the black battery holder and re-secure the lid to the battery compartment.
Recommended Batteries:
The performance of your RatZapper will depend upon:

NO

OPTIONAL
Rat Pack attachment. Allows you to use 4 D-cell batteries with any Rat Zapper. Batteries not included.
Great for larger rodent infestations. Performance equivalent to the AA Energizer E2 Lithiums
There are two uses for the light on the top of the unit.
If dust, dirt or other contaminants accumulate in the RatZapper, you may need to do some cleaning. You will usually know if cleaning is needed because the RatZapper may buzz or the light will blink repeatedly when you turn it on. Remove batteries before cleaning for safety.
Yes it can. However if the moisture intrudes into your RatZapper it can damage the electronics or “trip” the circuit so that you will not be successful in eradicating the intended rodents.
The best thing to do, if you must put it outside, is place the Ratzapper in a bucket or pail that is placed on its side. Just be careful, because depending on how the rain falls, it might still get into the open end of the pail and could cause trouble for your RatZapper.
Otherwise we have the RatNest that allows you to place it outside without any fear of the weather.
